With these helpful hints on furniture care you will enjoy your KARE product for many years to come.

Wood care
In the first 6 to 8 weeks wood and veneers are often sensitive to light. It's best to keep their surfaces clear and to avoid placing anything on them, in order to avoid stains or circles. Pieces of furniture darken as time passes, with the result that after some time they match your other furnishings perfectly. Wood and veneers react strongly to liquids. If anything is spilt it should be wiped up immediately. After wiping surfaces with a damp cloth you should then rub them with a dry cloth. In the case of stains you should always try to remove them as carefully as possible, preferably with warm, soapy water.

Special care with wood polish
Wood polish provides effective protection against moisture and dirt. In addition it is easy and economical to apply, has an antistatic effect and prevents dust from collecting.
KARE polish for dark wooden furniture is a useful tip to refresh the colour of your wood and give it a real shine.

Special application with woodstain
KARE stain is a ready-to-use woodstain which gives wood a dark-brown wooden colour. The stain is specially popular for adapting items of furniture to the Cabana colonial series.

Leather care
Leather furniture has a typical patina. Leather may become old, but never ugly. With age it becomes more beautiful, but it has to be looked after. You should clean and maintain your leather furniture carefully and gently. Leather hates aggressive substances such as stain removers, solvents, floor polish, turpentine, petrol and shoe polish. Good quality leather furniture does not need to fear the light, but it should not be exposed to direct sunshine, because the colours could fade or become darker. In addition to cleaning, your furniture also needs sufficient humidity so that it stays soft and supple.

Fabric care
Upholstery fabrics need regular care so that your furniture, which has been manufactured with care and experience, will retain its value. During cleaning please note that stains should be removed as soon as possible. Upholstery made of linen, silk, viscose or cotton should preferably be cleaned professionally. Damp stains should be dabbed away with an absorbent cloth. Fabrics should only be cleaned dry or dusted with the vacuum cleaner. Furniture which is dirty should be cleaned all over.
