15. March 2017
From 04 to 09 April 2017 Milan will once more be the undisputed centre of furniture design. The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is the world’s biggest furniture show, and KARE will very much be part of this prestigious design forum.
The 2017 furnishing trend – “Go for your own style” – is tailor-made for the KARE product range. In Scandinavian terms the home has to be “hyggelig” – a cosy, intimate place which reflects our own style while offering comfort and security. To match this trend and with our usual unconventional approach we will be welcoming our guests and fans with man-sized canine figures – and introducing everyone to three very different furnishing worlds.
Elements – wild nature for the home
The longing for raw, genuine nature has been implemented by KARE’s designers in their new “Elements” style world, which plays with stone and dark natural colours to awaken associations with archaic landscapes.
Goldrush – all that glitters does you good
Lamps, decorative accessories or a coffee table with a generous dose of gold, brass and silver will light up every apartment. This shimmering look harmonises stylishly with elegant retro furniture which references the formal treasures of the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies. Retro remains an important element this year because the design is familiar to us and provides a sense of comfort and security. Velvety armchairs and cuddly stools made of fake fur add that happiness-creating cosiness factor.
White nature – pristine tranquillity
A cool, natural and easily adaptable look for all those who wish to combine a lightness of touch with cherished individual articles of furniture. Wooden furniture with intricate carving or in natural shapes creates a fresh, original atmosphere.
Naturally, general colour trends such as midnight blue and every possible shade of green, or cacti in all shapes and sizes are a major theme with us, too, and can be mixed and matched with all furnishing worlds. As a result your favourite, individual style can be combined and refreshed with the latest trends again and again – assuming of course that you intend to participate in the trend at all, because your own home should exclusively reflect your own style, which is one trend to which you should stay true.
