High Dresser Chalet Silver 13 Drawers

A dream as if from the “Thousand and One Nights” - In distant Rajasthan we came upon a small group of craftsmen who still practice unique craft skills which have almost been forgotten. The craftsmanship involved in the creation of splendid silver furniture for the residences and palaces of royal families, a skill which was acquired and refined over generations, is reflected in this highly unusual dresser. An exquisite, high-quality work of art featuring a combination of stone, glass and metal. Each element is created with loving craftsmanship. The frame is covered with beaten metal, while the 13 drawers are decorated with elaborate inlays. A unique piece and a remarkable masterwork. - The mango wood frame is manually sanded down to a fine finish. Now the individual sections of the dresser, drawer fronts and legs are covered with the shining silvery metal foil. The craftsmen then beat the decorations into the foil with a 4 cm x 4 cm stamp and above all with skill and judgement. A final polish gives your unique piece its subtle and glamorous gloss.
