There’s no place like home!

With the realization that what awaits us is a return to the dull routine of everyday life, we say goodbye to our holiday paradise with a subtle twinge of anxiety – in other words the bitter-sweet aftertaste which marks the end of a holiday. But this is soon replaced by the smile on our face as we fall back on the couch in our living room with a sigh of satisfaction. After all, “There’s no place like home!” If you need some fresh ideas for your stylistic “Welcome back”, here are a few trendy tips and tricks – and of course the matching pieces of furniture.

Our favorite place – the cozy living room couch

Whether it’s a comfortable corner sofa or elegant three-seater, there’s no better place to simply lean back and relax than your own couch. And as a highlight in the living room, a touch of eccentricity in size, shape or color is perfectly permissible. Particularly popular at the moment: deep corner sofas with individual elements that can be adjusted to suit your mood, as well as elegant three-seaters made of soft velour with contrasting feet in black or shiny metal. Or if you simply want to add a little freshness to your home, you can liven it up in a flash with houseplants, newly-cut twigs or flowers in sophisticated vases. Mirror collages instead of picture collages provide more light in the room and enhance the wall.

Eating at home: revitalizing the dining area

How about a cozy dinner evening or a Sunday brunch to get all your friends together around the table once more? It’s a great way to share experiences and keep memories alive – and the perfect opportunity to freshen up the dining area! Natural wood stands on straight steel legs while velour, leather and hard-shell chairs can be happily and colorfully combined with each other. The highlight literally comes from above: in the evening the lamp creates a cozy atmosphere without dazzling, and during the day it provides stylistic ‘wow’ moments without obscuring your view of the person sitting opposite you.

Pleasant dreams at home: looking forward to bedtime

For many of us, one of the finest moments of the day is falling back comfortably into our pillows at the start of a well-earned night’s rest. However, if our last hotel bed was more comfortable than the bed we sleep on at home, then it’s high time for an upgrade. After all, in our sleep we recharge our batteries in preparation for the next adventure that’s already waiting for us just around the corner!
