For the first time ever, Jürgen Reiter, KARE CEO and one of our founders, opens the doors to his home. The Munich resident invites you into his realm full of designer furniture, art and found objects with a history. And because Jürgen Reiter shapes the KARE look and continues to develop it anew, he also shows where and how he can find inspiration and creative relaxation within his four walls.

THE SOURCE OF HIS INSPIRATION

“Because my memories are at home in my apartment, it is like a nest. It is not a showroom, but my home and where my soul is.” The chief designer shows us his colourful old building in Lehel, Munich. It is his retreat, with plenty of room for inspiration. Here we find souvenirs from all over the world, art and comics, as well as classics with a story.

THE PUNK BAROQUE STYLE

“An object has to tell a story and not just fit into the environment. Different styles are welcome to mix together to create a total work of art, or to stand out as a contrast”. This quote sums up Jürgen Reiter’s style. Baroque design like the chandelier brings an exuberant attitude towards life into rooms. The brightly coloured dining room chairs break the lush shapes and are a statement for clear, functional design.
